Choosing subject matter. Stitch’s and his cousins.
For our first project is to create an alphabet pictograph based on our favourite movies or characters in a movie. This is my first time to create an alphabet based on a movie character. The first pictograph I make was from the movie Rio. The blue bird who can’t fly. But it do not turn out very well because of the form and shape of the alphabet is slightly different from the usual character of the alphabet. I need to make it more like the actual alphabet and insert some of the movie characters in it. However then I decided to change the movie to Lilo and Stitch. Because it has more character to choose from and it has many forms and shapes to combine with the alphabet.
Based on Pictograph 2.0,2.1,2.2,2.3 and 2.4 I created an alphabet and numbers fonts inspired by this cartoon Lilo and Stitch. I choose the cousins so that it can make each of the letter a character. The form of character took place in the parts of the letter which is the ears, colours of its fur and also their characteristics.
Pictograph 3.0 is a tracing of my name “War” based on the alphabet I created using Adobe Illustrator. It was my first time using this kind of software so I had a struggle to understand on how to use it. For the first time I use it I though they meant was image tracing and I was wrong.

So pictograph 4.0 is my first try to trace that I thought it was a tracing instead it was an image trace. No wonder that it felt so easy. Then I acknowledge my mistake and I have to re-do it until I get the hang of it. It was never easy for the first time but it is worth trying the best I can because if everybody else can do it then so do I. Even if it takes me longer to understand but I still have to try it.
